I am excited about revival. I remember when Heather and I got married we wanted revival so much we would go different places to hear the word. Services would last till midnight at times and we would drive home and get up early and go to work. I don't know if we will have a service like that at Crab Orchard, but I do know that the same God I was after then is the same God that will be here when we invite him. With that said join with me as we invite the presence of God for each service. Come and enjoy the presence of the Holy Spirit!

Revival Schedule

One Step at a Time

One step at a time

At a shopping mall in Coventry, England, researchers posted colorful signs along the steps of a staircase that said: “Taking the stairs protects your heart.” Over a 6-week period, the number of people who chose to walk up the stairs instead of riding the adjacent escalator more than doubled. The researchers say that every step counts, and that long-term behavior will change only if the signs are seen regularly.
The Bible is filled with “signs” urging us to obey the Lord and follow Him wholeheartedly. Just before the Lord’s people entered the Promised Land, He said to them: “I have set before you today life and good, death and evil . . . . Therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days” (Deut. 30:15,19-20).
So often we hope our lives will change through a giant leap of faith, a profound decision, or a significant act of service. In reality, the only way we change is one step at a time, and every step counts.
Today, let’s heed the signs and take a step of heartfelt obedience toward the Lord.

Things Just Around The Corner

Things just around the corner

Ladies of Grace will meet March 6 at 10:00am in the church sanctuary for a time of prayer and refreshing.
Saturday March 7 the youth will travel to Cleveland Tennessee to take part in the Youth and Children's conference.
Sunday Night March 8 we are excited to have the Kelly's with us, service starts at 6:00pm.

This past Saturday Men's Ministry gathered for a wonderful time of fellowship. Bro. Potter had several men cooking and Bro. Howard Scott shared the word. It was a blessing to see 30 men gather for this time of refreshing. Sunday Night we celebrated with God as he blessed in many ways, Several testified of his healing power and how God had blessed them in times of need. I am so blessed to be a part of The Crab Orchard Church. Don't forget to pray and fast for revival with Bishop Paul Holt March 29 - April 1

God Bless

Tennessee Ladies Day 2009
Author: Londa Richardson
Ladies Day 2009 is scheduled for May 1 & 2 at Camp Hickory Hills in Dickson. Each year, hundreds of ladies from across Tennessee arrive with expectant hearts and do not leave disappointed. Many testify it is the highlight of their year.

"Sanctuary" is the theme for this year’s event. The psalmist declared: "I love your sanctuary, Lord, the place where your glorious presence dwells." Psalm 26:8
With much uncertainty and chaos around our daily lives, we need a sanctuary, a place to rest our minds and souls. Sanctuary is not a building or room. Sanctuary is more than escape. It is a place of refreshing, restoration, and peace.
We are delighted to share our guest speaker this year is Karen Wheaton. She is a seasoned Christian minister whose music has provoked listeners to pursue God in passionate worship for many years. Her first exposure came on the PTL Club in 1978, and the next year she traveled with the Spurrlows in the Festival of Praise. Throughout the ‘80’s Karen had the privilege of serving alongside ministers such as Frances Hunter, Benny Hinn, and Marilyn Hickey as they held crusades and conferences all throughout the world. Toward the end of the decade, she joined the TBN family and has been apart of that impacting television station ever since. Beginning the ‘90’s Karen increasingly traveled on her own as doors opened to sing and speak at various churches, prisons, and women’s conferences. Today, she continues to travel and minister, but her efforts are primarily focused on the youth center she founded, called the Ramp in her hometown, Hamilton, Alabama. Over 1,100 young people gather there each month to be transformed by the presence of God and equipped to win their cities. Her ministry is powerful and anointed.
Applications will be mailed to all local leaders this week and will also be available for download or on-line registration after March 5th. Those wishing to secure lodging together at the campground are encouraged to mail the applications together as soon as possible. A number of fine hotels are also available in the area should you wish to stay off-grounds.
Ladies Day is a special week-end planned for the young, those in between, and the young at heart. Bring all the ladies from your church to "Sanctuary". God invites you into His "rest" and so do we!

Welcome

Thank you for stopping by to view our blog. If you are ever in Crab Orchard come by and visit. It is our desire that everyone will feel welcome at Crab Orchard CoGoP. And most of all we want you to enjoy the presence of God.
