BIBLE MEDITATION:
Matthew 6:5 - "And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward."

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
A young professional sitting at his desk is waiting for a meeting to begin. He hears someone coming down the hallway. Thinking this might be a potential client, he picks up the telephone and pretends to be having a high-powered conversation. By this time, the footsteps have stopped at his desk. He looks up and asks, “What may I do for you?” The man responds, “I’m from the telephone company; I came to hook up your phone.” Prayer is the same way. Prayer that gets our Savior’s attention comes from the heart and not from the head to be heard by men. Prayers to impress people are one-way conversations.

ACTION POINT:
Find a quiet place in your home where you can be alone with the Lord every day for a special time of communion with Him. He’s waiting for you there.

Dear Friend:

I certainly hope by now you have heard about the exciting conferences we have planned in the next few weeks. If not, this is your personal invitation to join us!

I am convinced we need each other more than ever. No woman should be an island; and definitely, no one should weep or dance alone! God designed us for "Connections".

With that theme, we are planning "Connecting Women" conferences for the following locations and dates:
Saturday, October 3rd Chattanooga, Chickamauga Loop
Saturday, October 24th Ridgely (West Tennessee)
Saturday, November 7th Crab Orchard (Crossville area)

It will be a power-packed, fast paced, day of worship, inspiration, fellowship, creative ideas, and of course, connections!

Cost is $15.00 and includes lunch. You can register online at www.tncogop.org (go to ministries at top of home page, women, and then fall women's conference) You'll see the highlighted font to register

You can print applications from www.tnwomenofgrace.com and mail if you prefer!

We are so excited about what we sense God has planned for us. Please join us! And...invite a friend!

I hope to "connect" with you soon,

Romans 8:1 - "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus."

The key to living a victorious Christian life is to discover who you are in Christ. Many Christians have never discovered this. They remind me of the man who had an identity problem and an energy crisis at the same time. He didn't know who he was and he was too tired to find out. God doesn't work from the outside in. He works from the inside out. God doesn't modify our behavior in order to change us. He changes us in order to modify our behavior. You're never going to purify the water by painting the pump. That’s legalism, and that’s a dead end to discovering who you are in Christ.

Welcome

Thank you for stopping by to view our blog. If you are ever in Crab Orchard come by and visit. It is our desire that everyone will feel welcome at Crab Orchard CoGoP. And most of all we want you to enjoy the presence of God.
