This past weekend several of our couples went to the annual Couples Retreat in Pigeon Forge and each were blessed. God showed his love in a wonderful way and many testified that this was the best retreat ever. I have been to several retreats over the years and this one was wonderful. This Sunday night is Youth Night at Crab Orchard Church and I am excited to tell you that the Youth from the Cookville Church will be ministering on this night. Everyone is invited to come and celebrate with our youth and do not forget to invite someone to church Sunday.

Up dates and Events

I have just returned from the hospital and I wanted to post some updates. Please continue to pray for Jean Gunter, Check Pugh, and Linda Otto. These are still in the hospital and will be there for a few more days. The phone continues to ring as our church is calling for God to help in different ways. I am reminded of the scripture Isaiah 53:1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? God is letting us know that he is our strength, and our guide! In the valley he is our deliver let's trust in God for all things.

I want to take a few moments to post some thoughts and share what God is doing. For several days now I have been visiting and listing to reports of what God has been doing. I have received phone calls of reports that God has been blessing and it seems that His work is wide spread. We have received reports of salvation experiences, healing, families that have not trusted in God for many years and satin is trying to wreck homes, and the results are this----- I know that we are going to make it because Jesus has blessed our home with salvation. I submit to you today GOD IS UP TO SOMETHING! One person shared with me Saturday that a lady he had never met before gave him money at a super market when he looked to see what is was, it was exactly the amount he needed to by a part for his car. I forget to mention that he was laid off from his job recently. Folks hold firm to the unchanging hand of God, He will never forget his people.

Saturday night our Silver Saints gathered for an evening of fun and fellowship along with dinner. Sunday we started the new members class with fourteen in attendance and more is expected to join the class this Sunday. The Crab Orchard church is praising God for his presence, His love, and His Blessings.
