I was reading this little devotion today and thought how much we let the little things in life stress us. No matter what we go through God is always there to help, I hope this will give you strength to say in all situations of life I am blessed.
He Lifts You Up
"I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair…He set my feet on solid ground…He has given me a new song to sing…" (Psalm 40:1-3, NLT).
Have you ever felt like you were in a pit of despair? Just like God lifted David out, God is going to lift you out. Where you are right now is not where you’re going to stay. There are brighter days up ahead for you filled with favor, promotion, and increase. As you walk uprightly before Him, no good thing will He withhold from you. Notice that God gives us a new song. We have to do our part to sing that song. That means you don’t go around talking about your problems, how bad things are, or how you’re never going to make it. No, you have a song of victory! If somebody asks you how you’re doing, your attitude should be, "I’m too blessed to be stressed! I’m moving forward in strength and power." Remember, praise precedes the victory, and the Bible tells us that God is enthroned on our praises. As you magnify and lift Him up, He will lift you up out of your despair. He’ll set your feet on solid ground, and you’ll move forward in joy and victory in every area of your life.

I am excited about the new year! There is excitement of what God is doing at Crab Orchard Church. Several have shared testimony of what God is doing at church and in there lives. I am excited about our new Youth leadership team, I met with them Sunday and they are ready to work and build a Spirit filled and vibrant youth program. The new leadership team consist of Joey and Christy Tollett, Kevin and Becca Wagner, Tony and Melinda Cox. They know that they need the help of the church to build a youth program and they also know this will not happen without the help of God leading in everything they do. Pray for our church we know that everything we do has to be covered in prayer.

Urgent Prayer Request
I am writing with an urgent prayer request for one of our local church members, serving in the United States Army in Iraq.
Bro. John Moore, is a member at Crossroads in White Bluff, and is a sergeant with a Stryker brigade serving in Iraq. He was injured in a road-side bomb explosion yesterday morning their time while on patrol in a town northwest of Baghdad. Both his ankles were broken in the blast.
They have operated on him and will be sending him to the army hospital in Germany sometime today we understand and after that we are not sure. He did call his wife Amanda this morning to let her know his condition. Please remember this family in your prayers. John is 27 years old with a precious wife Amanda and two little girls Bryanna and Ashley.
