We are praising God for his blessings at Crab Orchard Church. Sunday God ministered in a special way, after the morning service two young men gave their heart to the Lord. This Sunday night we are having a baptismal service. Tonight (Wednesday 31st) we are having a candle light service starting at 6:30 I hope everyone can come out and join us. Sunday morning we are praying for God to visit us again in a special way, I am convinced that God is just getting started in this day of ministry. As 2009 Begins let's invite someone to church and keep our eyes on Jesus!

This has been a great week to be a Christian. We have been celebrating the birth of Christ in many ways at the Crab Orchard Church. I am very thankful for our kids, for giving of their time and going caroling, and the kids and youth for their part in the church play. Saturday night our church was full as people came out in the rain to see "Christmas at Cricket County Cafe" and we had a blast.

Tonight we have just finished with our annual church banquet and there was enough food to feed a large army. After the meal we had a (little fun), ok we laughed a lot and who said God's people cannot laugh and have fun. I have posted a few photos and I hope everyony has enjoyed the fellowship. Let's not forget the reason for the season, "Christ Jesus".

It is here and it is hard to believe, "Christmas" it always comes the same time every year. This year is a very busy time for everyone at Crab Orchard Church the stage has been set they have been practicing every night because Saturday night Dec. 20th "Christmas at the Cricket County Cafe" will be in town. I hope that you and all your friends will come out at 6:00pm Saturday for a good family story. Also Sunday the 21st at 5:00pm we will have our church banquet and everyone is invited to come out as we celebrate the birth of our Saviour Christ Jesus.

Wow! What an exciting time it is to be a Christian. This past weekend our men's ministry under the direction of Bro. Terry Potter met early Saturday for breakfast, fellowship, and a refreshing time in the Lord. It was so good we had some of our ladies show up! "I believe they wanted to see if the men really could cook". Twenty one men came out and enjoyed breakfast. Ladies, watch out our men is getting creative.

Sunday morning the service began with one of our Saints needing prayer for their family, the next thing I knew another and another till the alter was filled with powerful Praise and worship. Many was refreshed in the Holy Ghost others needed prayer for Lost loved ones, Healing and the list could go on. We are praising God for what he is doing at Crab Orchard, THANK YOU GOD for allowing us to be part of what you are doing at Crab Orchard CoGoP.

I wanted to remind everyone about our upcoming events.

1. Ladies of Grace will be meeting @ 10:00 am Thursday Dec. 4th at Church.

2. Men's Prayer breakfast Sat. Dec 6th from 7:00am-9:00am in the fellowship hall.

Reminder: Bring non-perishable food for Christmas baskets. You can put those items in the old kitchen.

Sunday night we were blessed at Crab Orchard to have our state youth director Bro. Josh Lynn, his wife Crissy and their two girls with us. Bro. Josh delivered a wonderful and timely message, it is always a blessing to see folks like Josh and Crissy serving our State.
